Leukemia is a form of cancer and as any other forms of cancer it begins in cells which make up blood and other kinds of tissues. The body usually produces cells that grow and divide as needed, which then replaced as new cells are created. Occasionally the process of cell creation goes wrong and new cells are created, and this is when everything starts.
